| Usage Guide of Hard Drive: |
| |
- Depending on the performance required, use the different type of hard drive such as IDE ATA, IDE SATA, or SCSI.
- Set up the HDD horizontally, instead of verticality.
- Get a hard drive with appropriate volume; the larger volume hard drive is not necessary.
- Depending on the performance required, to seek the higher RPM is unnecessary.
- Execute the Low Level Format before using the hard drive. The purposes of this execution are checking the media defected and cleaning up all the reminding data. (Notice: This execution will delete all the data from the hard drive.)
- Application Tools available on the each manufacturer's website:
- Adding the UPS+On Line can prevent unstable voltage and unexpected power failure.
- Avoid the collision, damp and heat.
- Keep the volume fewer than 8GB if you create a FAT32 partition. Otherwise, use the NTFS if the higher volume is needed. Avoid using Dynamic Hard Drive unless it is necessary. Dynamic Hard Drive should have the following partitions:
|
|
| |
|
| |
|
-
The first partition: install Windows and Programs only.
-
The second partition: store the data and files.
-
The third partition: store the data, files, and backup.

HDD Usage Tips
- Organize the data frequently. Delete or remove unnecessary folder will make the HDD seek time faster and rescue the data easier.
- Hard drive has its lifespan, so frequent backup could save you a lot of trouble.
- DO NOT remove the hard drive frequently. If there is necessary, wait until the Spindle Motor stop completely and then pack it carefully to save from vibration.
- Use and keep updating the Anti-Virus software.
- Defragment will improve the seek time.
